Brian A. P. FitzGerald MA FIA FCIA ASA. Brian, co-founder and CEO of Capital G Consulting, has over 30 years experience as a pension actuary and is a recognized expert in Canadian pension actuarial issues. He has worked with public and private sector pension plans, single and multi-employer plans, and supplementary plans for high income employees. Brian has served as an actuarial expert witness and advisor in a variety of proceedings. Accepted as an expert in the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, Brian has also given testimony before the Ontario Financial Services Tribunal and at mediation and arbitration hearings.
Brian is skilled at translating complex actuarial issues into clear, concise, understandable terms. He is author of The Pension Puzzle, the only book that explains Canadian pension plans in language we can all understand. Brian is a regular speaker at pension conferences and seminars, has served on a number of government and industry commissions and task forces and is a former President of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries.
Brian is currently spearheading the "Healthy Pension Plan" project of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries, which is facilitating discussions between government and representatives of labour and management to find solutions to the problems facing pension plans in Canada.

Daphne J. FitzGerald CHRP Daphne has a long and distinguished career in the Financial Services sector and in Human Resource management. She has lectured on Human Resource Management at the University of Toronto's School of Continuing Studies and currently teaches a Human Resources course at George Brown College. As Senior Vice President of Corporate Development at one of Canada's largest insurance organizations, Daphne provided executive leadership to the HR, Communications and Strategic Planning functions. She has served on the boards of the Workers' Compensation Board of Ontario (WSIB) and the Canadian Chamber of Commerce and is currently a member of the board of the Human Resources Professionals Association of Ontario (HRPAO) and has served on advisory boards of Ryerson and Waterloo Universities.
